POSITIONS OF THE BODY
In this topic we are going to see Anatomical Position, Fundamental Position and Other positions of the body. Now we start our first topic , ANATOMICAL POSITION: Reference Position of the body Standing erect. Eyes looking forward at horizon. Upper limbs hanging by the side of the body. Palm facing forward. Lower limbs positioned straight with feet approximated together and flat on the floor. Toes pointing forwards. FUNDAMENTAL POSITION: Same as the anatomical position except that the palms of the hand face the sides of the body. Often used in the rotation of the upper limbs such as Pronation and Supination.
